If you don’t have your own 4WD and would like to explore the Island, the Beauty Spots Day Tour is very popular and allows you to relax whilst an experienced Fraser Island local takes care of all the driving, pointing out some of the best features of this World Heritage Listed island. If you would like to take the Beauty Spots Day trip during your stay, it is recommended that you pre-book as these fill quickly and you might not be able to get your preferred day if booking during your stay.
Between July and October each year, Humpback whales migrate to the warmer waters of the Great Barrier Reef to give birth. On their return journey, the whales and their calves spend time resting in Platypus Bay. Whales have occasionally been seen off the beach in front of the resort. Whale watching tours depart from Kingfisher Bay between August and late October. If you want to go whale watching during the season, it is best to pre-book to reserve your spot as these tours are also very popular and fill quickly.
The thing that you will notice most about your stay in the Villa is the tranquillity.
