Pet friendly Paradise Cottage is situated on the border of Brighton and Sandgate, in north east Brisbane's bayside - close to the Gateway Arterial and 10 kms from the airport. The cottage is surrounded by tropical palms and plants and offers a relaxing secure hideaway that is 1km walking distance to the Sandgate/Brighton foreshore and the famous Sandgate lagoons. Sandgate village with its railway station, restaurants, and shops is a 15 - 20 min walk. If you don't want to walk take the bus as the bus stop which is 200 m from the cottage. This bus can also take you into the CBD as it continues onto Toombus bus interchange. Within 500 m and either side of the cottage is Generations coffee shop and also Just Coffee has a hearty breakfast. To walk that dog or for a childrens paly area, walk up the street 50 m to Peace Park that borders the Third Lagoon at the top of the street. With its convenient location to Sandgate village, Paradise Cottage (and its sister cottage Happiness Cottage) is eminently placed for holiday accommodation and for short term relocations.
Paradise Cottage is a renovated builder's workshop, with a distinctive steep tiled red roof, that has been extensively planted with delightful aromatic gardens. The cottage has 2 covered outside deck areas. The ambiance is environmentally tranquil yet with all modern conveniences.
There are 2 bedrooms - a queen bed in the main and a double bed in the second bedroom. There is a fully equipped kitchen and laundry including ironing facilities. The living area has a flat screen 50" TV and DVD player. Dining can be inside or out on the deck with BBQ facilities.
We adore pets and believe in taking pets on holiday. Paradise Cottage has secure fencing, a doggie door and pets are allowed indoors. This is an upmarket pet friendly cottage and is kept beautifully clean with covers washed after each guest departs. Pumpkin, our gentle ginger cat, believes himself to be the resident cat of Brighton Cottages and may be found occasionally on outdoor sofas or in the garden. Pumpkin is a rescue cat whose first home was Paradise Cottage and when he has had enough of our dogs, he runs away from home back to his original home. His tag says Poppy as for 12 months we thought him a female - which may also be a reason he runs away.
