Lovely outlook from verandah. Ideal for 2 in great location.4/5 by , Brisbane Thanks for the comments James & Mary-Ann [manager response]
This cottage is really not suitable for a romantic getaway! We arrived to find 12 people, 6 cars, 2 dogs and 12 bicycles in the farmhouse next door (which is about 3 metres from the cottage)! When we looked out our kitchen window instead of seeing rural countryside, we had 4 cars parked right there. Having 12 people and 2 dogs biking and playing around us is not terribly relaxing. Although the people renting the farmhouse were reasonably considerate and turned off the loud music about 9pm both nights, they still sat outside around their open fire, talking and laughing . The cottage itself was great but the location and proximity to such a large second rental property makes it unsuitable as a romantic peaceful rural weekend getaway property.3/5 by ,
A very cosy cottage with a fabulous fireplace and well-equipped kitchen. Will definitely recommend to my friends.4/5 by ,
Great value for money. Only downside were the mosquitos as the place is not screened. Would definintely go back though.5/5 by ,
We have just spent 2 lovely days in Stanthorpe staying at the Rose Cottage..It was really great..the cottage is everything you could ask for, clean, comfortable and very cosy with the wood fireplace making it extra special..The breakfast hamper was terrific and we enjoyed the bacon and eggs etc. very much..We will be trying to go back again next winter..5/5 by ,

The rose cottage was perfect for us - nothing too 'posh' but very cosy, clean and comfortable in a beautiful setting. The open fireplace was wonderful5/5 by ,
Loved the views, peace and quiet, birds and kangaroos grazing outside as the sun set over the hills. Basic accommodation but it has everything you need for a very reasonable price5/5 by ,
Rose Cottage was perfect for my partner & my first weekend away together. The quaint cottage, the open fire, it was great.Value for money ...a++Thank you5/5 by ,
Great value for money. In the heart of Ballendean, just a short drive to Stanthorpe.Great views of the granite mountains and vineyard. Cosy little cottage, with everything you need, fireplace, heater, we even got a lovely breakfast hamper left in our fridge, which was great the next day after seeing many many winery's.4/5 by , QLD
Pleasant and cosy, less so when the gas ran out and there was no hot water and we couldn't shower or was an adventure though. Generous breakfast supplies and kangaroos grazing on the back lawn tipped the balance towards enjoyment :)3/5 by , SA
We found the cottage to be very comfortable and certainly had all the equipment we needed. However, I was unable to get the DVD or video player.Location was pleasant and quiet; situated a good distance from Stanthorpe and Girraween for going out on daily trips. An enjoyable weekend.3/5 by , QLD
