“Relax with Nature in Country Comfort”

A really enjoyable (and too short) stay in a relaxing rural environment only 30 min drive from the Canberra City Centre. Quiet, peaceful, charming hosts (Robyn and Les) and a special treat for breakfast (home baked bread, eggs and bacon). Why even the horses and cows are friendly and welcoming!!!! Definitely will stay there again when I next visit Canberra. My only gripe if I was asked to find one is the foldaway fable top mini-ironing board. (Robyn and Les-can I buy you a self-standing one please!!! :)). Then again, I imagine visitors to Riverview are not needing to iron any clothes. Great stay overall.5/5 by , Melbourne,Vic Thank you Glen for your great comments and sage advice re the mini ironing board. We will retire it now and self standing one is on our shopping list today. The new full sized one will fit easily into the cupboard where the mini one was "hiding". Thank you again for the valuable feed back and it is much appreciated. Regards Les and Robyn PS We do have an advertised 3 night special price for guests to really enjoy "Riverview". L n R [manager response]

Fantastic hosts, and lovely cosy cottage. Great for a quite, romantic get away. Great breakfast with freshly baked bread and the valley was covered in mist on our second morning, absolutely stunning. It was also great to be able to have our dog with us while we were away.5/5 by ,

A lovely comfortable, clean place to stay, with good breakfasts and beautiful scenery. We enjoyed the walks down to the river, and the girls liked seeing the horses. Les and Robyn were very friendly, gracious hosts who succeeded in making our stay a very pleasant one. Brenda. NSW.5/5 by , NSW
Riverview Homestead is a lovely place to stay. The view is heaven on earth with rolling country side and long rye grass billowing in the breeze. The accommodation is modern but with a country feel. Robyn and Les are extremely hospitable and keep the kitchen well stocked with delicious breakfast items, some of which are home made. Our overall experience is such that my husband and I are keen to visit again with out the kids(they loved the experience, and wanted to go back when we moved into the city).5/5 by , NSW
A lovely place to stay with great breakfasts and a beautiful view overlooking the hills. The kids loved feeding the horses, dogs and cats (and our dog had a great time also). Very convenient for visiting all the tourist sites in Canberra. Thanks again for a wonderful holiday.5/5 by , VIC
We stayed at Riverview for our honeymoon and would highly recommend it to anyone wanting a peaceful, romantic holiday. The little cottage-like apartment we stayed in was perfect, with all the comforts of home, the hosts were two of the loveliest people you would ever meet. Paradise on Australia's backyard.Jo & Reemon Beniameen.5/5 by , NSW
Delightful, clean comfortable with a lovely friendly elegance. The bathroom was spacious and modern and one of the best in a B and B that I have experienced. The setting was quite beautiful in a separate part of the homestead's garden, and the hosts were extremely friendly and welcoming. The reason we chose Riverview Homestead was because they offer pet friendly (ie our beloved Border Collie was allowed to stay inside with us) accommodation. Our stay at Riverview was very enjoyable and I would have no hesitation in recommending it highly.5/5 by , TASMANIA
Absolutely great!A personable well equipped, spacious, clean, well presented and supported stay with pleasant garden to sit out and admire the lovely views in a pretty garden . Both Les and Robyn met welcomed us with beautiful smiles and pride. The day was exceptioally hot so an unexpected and marvellous extension of their hospitality was to shout us a beer to cool us. Views across the valley and access to the murrumbidge on this quiet, peaceful location is definitely a plus. You can even pick and pay for your own hazelnuts. Robyn makes her own bread and mueslie and shares their chooks eggs. What a treat. We had a long stay of 1 month and found their hospitality and accommodation perfect. And as Robyn herself would positively respond: Wonderful! Is there anything we can do to make your stay better!"5/5 by , ACT
