Hello and welcome to Elandra we hope you will choose Elandra as your place to stay by the sea. You won't be disappointed!

LAYOUT: Elandra is on two levels. Both the upper and lower floors have their own kitchens complete with fridge, microwave, cooktop, oven, crockery, cutlery and utensils. Both levels have their own full HD LCD TVs with USB input and DVD players (Blu Ray upstairs). There is also a toilet, shower, lounge room and two bedrooms on each level. The downstairs lounge room is smaller than the top floor one (see pictures in gallery). The top level is more spacious. The laundry is located downstairs. There is no internal access between the top and bottom floors - access is via uncovered external stairs. The images in our gallery also show our storage shed adjacent to the main building. Rest assured that this is just a locked storage shed and is unoccupied.

VALUE: The setup is ideal for extended or multiple families wishing to holiday together where they may enjoy all the comforts of home with all that this location offers and at low costs per head. To illustrate Elandra's value compare what Elandra offers with a beach cabin at the local caravan park and keep in mind that those cabins only accommodate 2 adults. Alternatively, there are cheaper, smaller, more basic dwellings at Tuross Head further back from the beach. We are confident you will see better value and reward in Elandra not just in cost but in the lasting and memorable quality of the experience you will have afforded yourself for your hard-earned and well-deserved getaway.

BEDS: There is a double bed in each of the four bedrooms and the two downstairs bedrooms also have a single bed in each. The larger of the two upstairs bedrooms also has a double decker bunk. All beds have woolen doonas and top of the line memory foam pillows. Guests should bring their own bed linen and towels etc.

LAWNS: Elandra has spacious and well-grassed front and back lawns with the back lawn being securely fenced. We will consider requests on an individual basis for tents to be erected in the back yard to accommodate people in excess of our 12 guest limit subject to the extra guests surcharges (see pricing section) that would be applicable (please mention this requirement should you be considering pitching tents).

There is an outside shower downstairs for getting the sand off and a hose downstairs and also on the sun deck.

GOLFERS: We have two sets of right hand golf clubs with buggies in the upstairs cupboards should you wish to borrow them for a round or two at the local golf course.

TOYS: We have a toy box full of toys for youngsters to enjoy.

LIBRARY: Elandra has a well stocked library of books for our guests to enjoy during their stay.

NOTE! Elandra sleeps 8 adults in four double beds and 4 children in two single beds and one double decker bunk.

LOCATION: Elandra is situated in the picturesque seaside village of Tuross Head, a 30 minute drive south of Bateman's Bay on the South Coast of NSW. If coming from Sydney then the quickest route is via the Hume highway through Goulburn, Tarago and Braidwood which takes less than four hours and is an hour less than taking the coast highway. Tuross is an idyllic holiday spot with beautiful beaches, lakes and great fishing, surfing, pleasure boating and golf. Also enjoy the peace and quiet and the great bird, dolphin and whale watching. The locals say they've even seen fairy penguins and seals on the beach.

There is only one low-level house between Elandra and the Pacific Ocean and, from Elandra's elevated position, guests may look over the top of that house and enjoy the privacy of sundeck living taking in the spectacular views and oceanic sounds without being observed by others passing between the house and the view. The waves crashing ashore are a dynamic backdrop and there are many native birds that visit.

Access to the beach is a 70m stroll via the gateway onto the grassy public walkway immediately adjacent to Elandra's securely fenced back-yard then cross the road and you are there. There are several beaches to choose from including one that is patrolled by lifeguards. They may all be reached via the one paved coastal footpath which makes getting to them so easy while walking, cycling or pushing a pram. Also, there are two calm, shallow, sandy-bottomed lakes. There is plenty of free car parking available at all beaches and lakes ( there isn't any pay parking in Tuross - you must go to Batemans Bay if you want pay parking or crowds).

Tuross has it's own shopping centre with groceries, liquor store, newsagent, and more. There are restaurants and one may hire a motor boat at the local boat shed.

We know that you will want to know all the details and we hope we have covered all points in the following text. Please note that during the Dec / Jan school holidays we prefer to only accept bookings in 7 day increments however will consider late enquiries for other durations and commencing days. At other times of the year we readily accept shorter stays.

ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE EASE: For your convenience we have a combination key access so you need not arrange to meet an agent to obtain the keys or return them as with most other properties so you may arrive at midnight without having to pay extra for an agent to deliver the keys to you out of hours and you never need to rush to arrive at an agreed time. Plus you can make a quick getaway or leave before sun up if you wish - total flexibility

With many of our bookings we offer our guests free (no charge) early check in (noon) and late check out (your choice of time) on their arrival and departure days. This is not offered by the local estate agents. We can't guarantee this at booking time though however, three days before our guests arrive we check our bookings and if there are no conflicting arrivals or departures of other bookings we email our guests to authorise this offer. Past guests have been particularly appreciative of this element of what we offer them as few other holiday lettings are flexible in this regard. We will bend wherever possible to maximise the quality of our guests' stay.

PERSONAL MANAGEMENT BY US: We manage all aspects of Elandra ourselves and personally visit regularly and stay overnight ourselves to monitor its fitness for rental ie that all appliances work and no taps are leaking and we use a local and devoted cleaner who cleans Elandra for three hours following each booking. Compare this with a property managed by an agent with multiple properties listed, one property manager who may also be the sales person and one or two cleaners who rush around giving their properties a quick lickity spit of a clean in the short time they are allocated.


PAYMENT METHODS: We accept payment by electronic funds transfer from your bank or credit card account and we also accept cheques and money orders. Were you to wish to make a confirmed booking we will send an automated email detailing terms and conditions and how you may pay your deposit and subsequent final balance. Please note that in order to accept a booking we will require your full contact details for the letting agreement.

KEYS: Rest assured that we have a foolproof system in place that allows you to access the keys via a combination lock key safe set with a one time combination valid only for your stay. This way you may arrive and depart without needing to disturb anyone or keep to an agreed meeting time - you simply arrive, enter your combination and voila!

CLEANING: We arrange for a professional cleaner to undertake a standard clean following our guests' departure. There is no need for guests to concern themselves with cleaning other than to leave the premises tidy, remove their rubbish, and leave all crockery and utensils packed away ready for following guests.

Pets policy, NO PARTY POLICY

Pets are welcome subject to discussion and a nominal surcharge of $10 per day per pet.

The beach sign at Tuross says "Dogs allowed" and it is not a typo. Our dogs love it at Elandra. They spend their days either on the beach or roaming free throughout the securely fenced back yard from where they can also access the sundeck . There are ticks in the bush so you have to know all about that stuff. For the nominal extra cost per pet we charge - why would you put them in a kennel? Give them the time of their lives instead. They must always stay outside and you must clean up any mess they may leave on the lawn and we want everyone's word of honour on that. If your pet must stay inside, or you are unable to leave it outside, or are unwilling to collect their droppings, then Elandra is not the place for you because we really must insist that animals remain outside and that our grounds are left free of doggie doo for the enjoyment of all those who may follow. Always mention your pet requirements when you enquire and we'll see whether everything is likely to be mutually suitable.

NO PARTY POLICY: Elandra is a premium property in a quiet location, with permanent neighbours and the last thing they would want is a buck's night, schoolies party, or drunken gathering happening next door. Consequently we do not accept such bookings. Our target demographic is quiet, reasonably sober (hic), socially responsible families or groups who party at home and come to Elandra for what they can't do at home - to quietly relax by the sea.
