Check-in & During Your Stay:
4.1. Your booking will commence at 2pm on your check-in date (unless otherwise negotiated).
4.2. Keys can be collected at a mutually arranged time and location to best accommodate you.
4.3. You can expect a clean house upon check-in with sufficient linen and bath towels for the number of guests specified. We don’t service the property during your stay and don’t supply toiletries or any food/condiments. We do provide hand soap, dishwashing items etc.
4.4. The shed at the rear of the property and one cupboard inside the house will be locked and unavailable for tenant access unless negotiated with the owner prior to check-in.
4.5. The number of guests staying at the property must not exceed the number nominated at booking. Overloading (more than 5 tenants) will result in forfeiture of the bond.
4.6. Additional guests camped in tents, caravans, camper trailers, or motor homes at the property are strictly not permitted and will result in forfeiture of the bond.
4.7. Lost keys will result in a cost of up to $50 which will cover the cost of a full replacement set.
4.8. Please do not alter or relocate the furniture, electrical items, or fixtures within the house as this may cause unintentional damage which will be deducted from the bond.
4.9. The owner reserves the right to fully terminate your tenancy at any point during your stay for any negligent behaviour, or annoyances to neighbouring properties.
4.10. Pets are not allowed. Noncompliance will result in forfeiture of the bond.
4.11. Please keep the timber bi-fold windows at the front of the house closed during wet weather to prevent swelling and related closing problems as they are not covered by the roof eave.
4.12. No smoking is permitted inside the house. Collects butts and dispose if smoking outside.
4.13. The owners assume no responsibility or public liability whatsoever for any accident or injuries sustained as a tenant or guest at the Sandbar Holiday House.
Check-out & Completing Your Stay:
5.1. Your booking will conclude at 10am on your check-out date (unless otherwise negotiated).
5.2. Upon leaving, the keys should be locked inside the house and left on the table or bench top.
5.3. As we do not charge a regular cleaning fee, you are required to leave the premises neat and tidy. Please ensure the refrigerator is emptied and clean, all kitchenware is washed up and put away, the cook top/bench/table is clean, and all rubbish is taken out to the wheely bins at the rear of the house. Seafood waste should be double-bagged prior to disposal.
5.4. The BBQ (if requested) should be cleaned and left close to the house at the rear.
5.5. Failure to adhere to points 5.3 and 5.4 may result in a cleaning fee taken out of the bond.
5.6. Please check to ensure you have all of your belongings upon checkout. We will contact you in the event of property left behind but the owners take no responsibility for lost, stolen, or the safe return of tenant’s property.
Reporting Items for Repair/Replacement & Owner/Tradesperson Access:
6.1. You have a responsibility to contact the owner in the first instance should any major gas (hot water), electrical/appliances, or plumbing faults arise during your stay. Should this occur, you may be required to allow the owner/tradespersons to enter the premises to undertake urgent repairs of the items deemed necessary by the owner. We will endeavour to minimize disruption to your stay and contact you to discuss suitable access times prior to our arrival.
6.2. You should also report any non-urgent broken, damaged, or defective items to the owner prior to or at checkout. The owner’s contact number will be provided once you have booked via Aura Travel. The owners are fair and hospitable people. Please let the owner know if there is anything else he can do to accommodate your stay!
