What a fantastic location to spend a few nights in the Hunter!! The homestead is wonderful and we thoroughly enjoyed the cattle wandering down each morning and dusk. If you need to getaway from it all, be it with friends or just the two of you, this is a wonderful choice. Chris & Pauline5/5 by ,
It was a beautiful house...very comfortable and beautifully decorated. The breakfast food in the fridge was excellent and there was more than enough for the 6 of us! The view from the verandah was fantastic. I would highly recommend it!. There was wood for the wood stove (very much appreciated)the rooms were clean and the beds comfortable. Highly recommended!5/5 by ,
What a fabulous homely place to stay. We had a group of six adults with plenty of room and food for all. I would definately recommend this accommodation and would love to return.5/5 by ,
Stayed here previously and there is nowhere better in the Hunter valley if you want a lovely old farmhouse, fabulous views and a perfect relax. The cows roaming nearby and wonderful friendly farm dogs makes it feel just like "home"! I thoroughly recommend staying here - but almost want to keep this little secret all to myself. Cheers, Piers.5/5 by ,
Loved the area of the valley it was in.5/5 by ,
The Homestead was awesome!!! The fireplace was great with all the firewood included, a gourmet breakfast hamper with fresh eggs delivered first thing and a complimentary wine only made the stay better. You feel like you are miles away from everyone yet you are right in the heart of the Hunter with wine, cheese and much more right there. We would all definitely come back again and I would recommend The Homestead to anyone and everyone!5/5 by ,

Fantastic !!!Easy to find and very pleasant surroundings. The house is well presented, particularly the living room and all the bedrooms. The beds were fabulously comfortable and the fireplace became the family focus rather than the TV for a change!! The breakfast hamper was delightful!5/5 by , QLD
The Old Hillside Homestead was very relaxing and you felt you didn't want to leave. Everything in the house was really great - beds comfortable, house cosy and open fire perfect. The owners couldn't be more helpful (breakfast hamper was huge!, plenty of firewood left to use) and the owners came & collected the balance of money and you didn't see them again but were only a phone call away if anything was needed and nothing was too much trouble. Recommend this house to anyone and it really makes a visit to the Hunter memorable.5/5 by , NSW
