The wide decks offer the perfect space for your yoga practice or excercise workout. Then of course there are the iconic red lounges for simply stretching out and really enjoying your holiday!

New Brighton is a 20 minute drive north of Byron Bay, a quiet neighbourhood shared by local residential and holiday houses. The primary focus of this place is the beauty of the river and beach. The beach is not patrolled and can get rips, though is generally fairly safe. It also has a dog, off-leash section. The mouth of the Brunswick River known as North Wall, has a sandy swimming beach along the rivers edge. There is a local shop which also runs as the Post Office, and the leafy Yum Yum Tree Café is situated about a 500m walk north of the house. A local farmers market is on each Tues morning 7.30-11am, just opposite the cafe and is the main gathering each week for the community to celebrate the abundance of the region.

Ocean Shores Country club is 2 minutes drive south, it has fabulous views over the ocean as well as a spectacular golf course. Ocean Shores also has a regular shopping centre. Brunswick Heads (5 mins south) is a vibrant coastal community that still retains a village atmosphere. It is a great place to picnic with family and friends. It has stylish and quirky shops, very good cafes and restaurants and a lovely pub with a large beer garden and live music.

New Brighton is part of the Northern Rivers Rainbow Region. The area lies on the rim of an ancient volcanic caldera near the sea, with mountainous lush rainforest, cane fields, dairy & agriculture. There are spectacular national parks & state forests such as Mt Warning. Nat Park and the Whian Whain State Forest.

The area is well known for its creative arts and is fortunate to have the Tweed Regional Gallery, which now houses the Margaret Olley Art Centre. The gallery is in Murwillumbah which is only a 25min drive north on the tweed valley road.

Tweed Heads, Coolangatta and the Gold coast are a ½ hour drive to the north on the M1 freeway. The beach house is a 30min drive from the Gold Coast airport and 40mins from the Ballina airport.

This was our third visit to this destination. ( The first visit to the new replacement house ) The house is excellent, very roomy and smartly finished and furnished. The adjacent beach and surrounds are very pleasant. Our only negatives............. lack of microwave cooking utensils local dining spots were disappointing compared to previous visits Local farmers markets and produce are good and worth a visit. Cheers4/5 by , Bribie Island, Queensland Hello Tony, Thanks for your feedback. I really appreciated the effort you put in to leave the house so tidy. I'm pleased you enjoyed the new house, it really is so nice to stay in. I'll pass on your idea for microwave utensils to the owners. You would be so welcome to come again.
