A quintessential Aussie Beach Shack 'The Mook' holds the prime beachfront location. An unsurpassed ocean view from the deck & lounge 'The Mook' is only 20 footsteps to the white sand and metres from the renowned Mollymook Reef surf spot.

Located centrally in the 'golden mile' of Mitchell Parade close to Tallwood shops and the new Bannisters Pavillion (but with ocean views and beach access)

We do the basics in style and have everything you require for a family holiday, short break or escape. Accommodation consists of 2 queen rooms upstairs and a combined living / sleeping space downstairs with single bunk and 2 single beds that we can join together to make equivalent king size bed if you take up our linen option. The house can sleep a total of 8 guests.

This cottage is just ideal to relax, rejuvenate and enjoy the tranquil surounds.

We recommend The Mook as being most suitable for a family, couple or 2 to 3 groups of couples. It is less suitable for large groups of adults or multiple families.

200 metres to Mollymook Shopping Centre via the wide oceanside walkway where you'll find; Supermarket, liquor store, newsagent, chemist, butcher, bakery, takeaway and Tallwood restaurant.
500 metres to Mollymook Golf Club, Mollymook Surfclub and playground + restaurants and cafes.
800 metres to Rick Steins famous seafood restaurant or the great little Mollymook Bowling Club.

'The Mooks' facilities include:

Breach of the following house rules may result in forfeit of money paid including security bond and possible termination of the reservation.

Parties or gatherings of any type MAY NOT be held on the property.

The number of guests staying at the house or people visiting the house for any reason must not exceed that stated on the confirmation notice.  Fees may apply for undeclared guests at the rate of $100 per guest / per night plus forfeit of the security bond.

Disturbance to neighbours, boisterous or offensive behaviour will result in termination of rental and loss of bond.

Pets are not allowed unless specific arrangements have been made in writing with the owner.

Please do not smoke in or around the house, removal of cigarette butts or other rubbish from the property including yard and gardens will incur a fee.

Damage, breakages, theft and loss are the client’s responsibility during their stay.  We would appreciate if any damage or breakages are reported by phoning 0421 911 508 prior to your departure.

Bed linen must be used at all times, do not sleep directly on mattress protectors and quilts. Linen may be available for hire at additional charge otherwise it is to be supplied by the tenant.

If we have provided linen and towels, they are for your use inside the house and not to be used outside.

Check-out time is 10am - the property should be left in a similar state to its condition on arrival, secured and the keys returned per the instructions on the welcome letter. A late checkout may be possible; we are open to discuss this possibility at the time of your stay.

To ensure return of your entire bond amount we simply ask that you respect the property and its surrounds and leave it in a similar condition to which you found it on arrival.



A minimum deposit of 50% of the accommodation tariff or $500 (whichever is greater) non-refundable is required to secure the booking. Payment of a deposit constitutes the clients acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.

Balance of the rental amount must be received in full 30 days prior to occupancy. If not the owner has the right to cancel the booking and attempt to re-let it.

Cancellation if caused by the client; money paid is not refundable unless at least 60 days’ notice is given and the house is re-let for the entire period. If a refund is made due to the property being re-let any fees incurred by the owner will be deducted from the refund amount along with a $200 cancellation fee.

The owners will make every effort to ensure the property is available as booked. The owners reserve the right to make alterations to bookings due to unforeseen circumstances.

Responsibility for the reservation including payment and care of the property remains with the client as listed on the confirmation notice. Reletting the house or allowing others to stay in lieu is not allowed without prior written approval from the property owner or property manager and subsequent issuing of a revised confirmation notice.

Your security bond will be refunded within 14 days subject to a post stay property inspection and clean. Any additional expense incurred such as but not limited to; extra cleaning inside or out, damage repairs, garbage removal - (in excess of what can be fitted in the council supplied bins with the lid closed or failure to place the bins on the kerbside for collection on the allocated day), undeclared guests or visitors etc. may be retained from your security bond.

The owners take no responsibility for loss, theft or damage to the tenant's or guests personal property including motor vehicles.

Variations to these conditions may only be made by prior arrangements with the property owner or property manager in writing.




The address is 70 Mitchell Parade Mollymook. Entry is via a private driveway at the front of 74 Mitchell Parade at is best accessed from the south bound lane of Mitchell Parade.

The location is simply unbeatable for a relaxing beachfront escape. We've been here a few times before, and it's one of our favourite places. Beach access is straight through the front yard, and it's set far enough off the street to leave you with nothing but the sound of the waves lapping on the sand in front of you. It's fairly sparsely equipped, but it's everything you'd want for a simple beach holiday. Scott the manager is very responsive and a great communicator.
