We have recently returned from staying 10 nights at Calurla Chalets. Not having had a holiday for over 4 years, we decided to treat ourselves. Obviously, being more than just a weekend away, we wanted somewhere quiet, relaxing and private as we live in Sydneys inner west. So after doing some research on places to stay in Nimbin, and reading various reviews, we decided on Calurla Chalets. Its always a gamble when you book a holiday. You always seem to hope for the best, just in case it doesnt live up to your expectations. There is no other way to say it, but Calurla Chalets exceeded our expectations. We were in no way disappointed. Our host, Bob, was excellent- all the way from enquiring, booking and telling us about his part of paradise and the local attractions.Bob more than deserves the five stars that we have rated him and his accommodation. So what did we enjoy? We stayed in the Loft Chalet and enjoyed waking up the beautiful view across the rainforest valley, to Mount Warning and then listening to the birds in the banana trees outside the window. Seeing a wallaby outside our window the first morning was a bonus. The nights were so quiet and relaxing. We cant remember the last time weve have slept so well. The Chalet was excellent in all aspects, as were the views. It is a self-contained Chalet, so we enjoyed making a cup of tea and we had most of our meals there as well. When we werent out and about, we were more than happy to relax by catching up on some reading and watching DVDs.Each day treated us to visit some of the local sights the colourful Nimbin Candle facory, the Nimbin markets, a chat and great food and vegies at Blue Knob Farmers Market (every Saturday) and the Blue Knob Hall Art Gallery. We really enjoyed the friendly conversation and relaxed atmosphere. Travelling a bit further afield took us to Crystal Castle and Mullumbimby for a great lunch. Overall, staying at Calurla Chalets was an excellent choice. Thank you so much Bob for your friendly manner and hospitality. We enjoyed it so much that weve already booked a Chalet for over the Christmas holidays.5/5 by ,

This is the place to get away from it all!! With beautiful surroundings and absolute privacy, our dogs Ziggy & Archie had one of their most amazing experiences here at Calurla. The hosts Bob & Andrea were lovely and very accommodating in making sure humans & puppies alike were very comfortable!!! We are definitely coming back in the not too distant future. Thank you for allowing us to stay at Calurla.5/5 by ,
Probably the most wonderful place we have stayed at. Wonderful hosts, beautiful location and accommodation set in the most peaceful bush setting. We simply did not want to leave.5/5 by ,

It would be difficult to find better value if you're looking for a quiet retreat-like environment. The chalet was so comfortable and had everything required, whether you're touring the area or just want to take time out in a beautiful bush environment. Bob, the owner, is a lovely chap who is there for you without being at all intrusive. The only thing that stopped me from 5 stars was the short distance of unsealed road, and that was purely from my perspective (small, older car). I'll be returning to this special place.5/5 by ,
Bob and Andrea were the perfect hosts, the scenery was spectacular and the whole area full of pleasant, polite people.5/5 by ,
The property was beautiful with stunning views. Our host, Bob, was welcoming and friendly, and gave us lots of information about what to see in the area. We will definitely go back there!5/5 by ,
THE CHALETS AT CALURLA ARE VERY COMFORTABLE, EXCEPTIONALLY CLEAN, HAVE WONDERFUL VIEWS AND PROVIDE A REAL ESCAPE FROM CITY LIFE. HOSTS, BOB AND ANDREA COULD NOT BE MORE WELCOMING AND ARE FULL OF USEFUL INFORMATION ABOUT THE DISTRICT. WILL DEFINITELY STAY AGAIN.5/5 by ,
