Beachbumz@Kiama in BONAIRA STREET, reviewed on 31/10/15 in The Good Weekend SMH, is a restored 1954 BEACH semi, the smaller one of two (other unit Beachdayz@kiama) with a garden courtyard. With a stylish yet relaxed FUN and fresh SEASIDE HOLIDAY feel, the classic Australian cottage is located in the area originally named 'Beachside', within walking distance of 3 beaches, a great little cafe around the corner and 1.2 km walk along an ocean path to the main shopping strip, cafes and restaurants.

Weekend pricing applies to 2 night bookings when a Friday or a Saturday is booked

Kendalls beach is a few minutes walk ... a further 5 minutes along the ocean path takes you to Surf Beach. Easts Beach is a 15 minute walk south with a beautiful detour meandering through the Bonaira rainforest garden. A very pretty little town, Kiama is self sufficient for a perfect holiday, with cafes, restaurants, beaches and natural rockpools.

The cottage is cleaned to a high standard using environmentally friendly GREEN CLEANING products. We do not accept pets.

The contemporary ECLECTIC MIX of vintage, retro and RELAXED furnishings enhance the original high ceilings, features and RETRO CHARM of the house, preserved from the 1950's. A comfy corner leather sofa furnishes the cosy bright living room.

The cottage accommodates 4 in 2 bedrooms. A QUEEN BED in bedroom 1 and a SINGLE/DOUBLE BUNK BED combo in the second bedroom. 100% crisp cotton linen.

A FULLY EQUIPPED NEW KITCHEN, with Vittoria coffee pod machine. A fresh NEW BATHROOM RENO, light & airy open living area and 2 OUTDOOR DINING areas. To the north, a sunny, protected rear verandah through French doors, and a leafy garden courtyard at the front.

Although technically one of two, the unit feels more like a house. The adjoining unit, beachdayz@kiama can be booked together to accommodate a maximum of 9. Each unit has a private entrance and garden, and is designed to successfully minimise noise transfer between dwellings.

Public transport is reasonable for a country town, with a bus stopping outside the door on the hour, travelling locally and to Shellharbour Square shopping mall 20 minutes drive away. Kiama station is 1 km away. The train trip to Sydney is a picturesque couple of hours, following the magnificent coastline through to the northern beaches of the Illawarra, and on to Central Station Sydney.

No smoking on any part of property is permitted as a consideration to neighbours.

Smoking is not permitted inside or on any part of the property as a consideration to neighbours.  Butts must not be thrown out onto the nature strip or in the garden. 

Parties are prohibited and numbers must not exceed those provided at time of booking or otherwise arranged.  Fees will apply if guests exceed the maximum allowed numbers without prior arrangement.

 : Standard Terms and Conditions of Temporary Holiday Accommodation

Note: Variances can be agreed on but only by arrangement with the owner in writing.

Deposit of 25%  is required to secure the booking, unless booking is made within 14 days of check in when full tariff is payable.    Payment of the rental deposit constitutes the clients acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.

Balance of the rental amount must be received in full 14 days prior to occupancy with the exception of Christmas/New Year bookings when full payment must be finalized one month prior to your stay.   If not received by the specified date,  the owner has the right to unblock the calender and attempt to re let the property. 

Cancellation if caused by the client, deposit paid is not refundable unless the house is re-let for the entire period. If  a refund is made due to the property being re-let then a $100 cancellation fee will apply, depending on circumstances. 

The owners will make every effort to ensure the property is available as booked. However the owners reserve the right to make alterations to bookings due to unforeseen circumstances.

To maintain a good standard for our guests we require certain conditions to be complied with. We appreciate most will respect our property but the occasional abuse requires that we state the following conditions.

Number of Guests should not exceed the number stated on the Confirmation Notice or subsequently agreed in writing or email.  Fees will apply for excess guests not agreed with the owners in advance.

Parties and Functions are strictly prohibited. The price charged is for domestic use only and not commercial. Accordingly this rate does not allow for the extra wear associated with functions in terms of cleaning, garbage removal, wear and tear, repairs etc. Use contrary to this may result in loss of your bond and/or additional payments. 

Damage, Breakages, Theft and Loss are the tenants responsibility during their stay.  Loss of security key $130 to cover the cost of changing locks.

Departure - the property should be left in a similar state to its condition on arrival. Check-out time is 10.30am , to allow time to prepare property for next guests. 

Disturbance to our neighbours, including excessive noise, is prohibited and may result in termination of rental and loss of bond.

Security deposit  is payable at the same time as the balance amount. The bond will be refunded within 4 days in full subject to the above conditions being met. It is designed to cover any additional costs incurred including but not limited to, any breakage, damage or excess cleaning requirements, extra guests beyond those declared ..etc.  

Pets are not allowed 

Loss - the owners take no responsibility for the tenant's personal property.

Variations to these conditions may only be made by prior arrangements with the owner in writing.
