Contemporary converted warehouse, originally part of a flourmill built in the early 1900s and set in a leafy, quiet inner city residential neighbourhood on the city side of Glebe. 

Glebe village and the Sydney Fish Markets are 5 minutes walk from home. Local pubs, cafes and restaurants are even closer. The city and Darling Harbour are 15/20 minutes walk and the Glebe light rail and bus stops are 2 minutes walk.  The beautiful harbour foreshore of Blackwattle Bay is also a 2 minute stroll from the front door.

The living, dining and entertainment areas of the home are set over 2 levels. The main floor has a 9m ceiling and includes kitchen, lounge, dining, entertainment space and bathroom with freestanding bath and separate shower.  An internal mezzanine leads to an outdoor roof terrace with extensive city and district views, BBQ, dining area and perimeter garden. It’s a great spot to view the Sydney NYE fireworks.

On a separate floor, there are three carpeted bedrooms, all with built in robes, an entertainment room with private balcony and a bathroom with shower. An additional sleeping area is the mezzanine with a comfortable, quality double sofa bed. The house comfortably sleeps up to 8.

The expansive kitchen is part of the living area and has loads of bench space and storage, a large internal fridge, dishwasher, oven, microwave and five burner cooktop. Herbs grow in the adjacent window box. The internal and external dining tables seat 8 to 10. 

The living area includes a 65 inch LED screen, 5.1 surround sound system, digital TV receiver, DVD/CD player and internet connection for streaming services. The 2nd entertainment room contains a 55 inch LED TV and surround sound system. The living area flooring and stairs are local hardwood timber floors. 

We have plenty of adult and children’s games, books, CDs and DVDs/ Videos. An electric weighted key stage piano is also available for those inclined and we have access to broadband internet.

On the ground floor is a garage and laundry with Meile front-load washing machine and dryer.

The aspect from all living areas is elevated, leafy and light. You can spend days at home without feeling hemmed in.

SMOKING is NOT PERMITTED indoors. Should you wish to smoke outdoors, please dispose of ash in the garbage bin outside in the lane, NOT in the inside bin.

Parties or functions of any kind are not permitted.

Guests and Visitors must not create noise which is offensive to occupiers of neighbouring properties especially between 10pm - 8am and during arrival and departure at any time throughout the occupancy.

Offensive noise is prohibited and may result in termination of permission to occupy the Property, eviction, loss of rental paid and extra charges for security and other expenses which may be deducted from Security Deposit or Bond under the Terms and Conditions.

Guests and Visitors must not engage in anti-social behaviour and must minimise their impact upon the residential amenity of neighbours and local community.

Please place your garbage and recycling in the bins provided when you depart.

Please report damages or breakages to the owner. Damages must be paid for.

Breach of these House Rules is a breach of the Terms and Conditions of occupancy.

The Owner and AURA Travel reserve the right to terminate permission to occupy and to evict from the Property, Guests or Visitors who refuse to follow these House Rules or who cause a nuisance.

Payment details

After the booking is confirmed by paying the deposit, the remaining balance will be due within 24 hours after receiving a Tax Invoice from the property Manager (Aura Travel) with payment options.

Cancellations: Once payment has been received no refunds will be given for cancellation. Bookings can be amended (ie change of dates, subject to availability) and the balance can be transferred to the new dates.

Location: The property is located 1.5km south of the Sydney city CBD, 1km south of Darling Harbour and Chinatown, 700 metres north of The University of Sydney, and 7km north-west of Sydney Airport. A taxi from the airport is approximately $30 The airport train also operates a service to Central Railway, which is very close. See Central below. Glebe Point Road runs off Broadway (George Street), which is the main street that runs through the centre of Sydney city.

Public Transport from City/Darling Harbour: A taxi is approximately $10-$15. The Tram/Light Rail service departs Central Railway, then Capital Theatre, then Entertainment Centre, then Darling Harbour, then Star City, then Fish Markets, then Glebe. Buses 431, 433 or 434 travel directly to and from Glebe, through the centre of the city along George Street.

Transport from Central Railway: We would suggest a taxi which should be approximately $10-$15 or the Light Rail/Tram which departs every 10 minutes from just outside the country trains concourse or buses 431, 433 or 434 from Railway Square right to Glebe Point Road .Ask the bus driver to drop you at the corner of Glebe Point Road and Bridge Road and is a short walk from there.

The host was very friendly and efficient. Someone came to meet us at the property to go through everything, and had some basics like milk, juice, fruit etc stocked up which was very appreciated and a nice touch. The house was fabulous, great location, had everything we need. I was worried about the stairs with a toddler but it was fine. Was handy having some toys there, and hubby loved all the good quality AV stuff. And I loved all the books to peruse. Would definitely stay again.5/5 by , Newcastle
