Blue Island

Blue Island is a delicious cocktail of exotic world locations under one roof at Culburra Beach. Meander in and relax in comfort whilst you are transported to paradise spots north and south of the Equator. Flee the hustle and bustle to reside in tranquility and comfort just two and a half hours south of the Big Smoke. 

This majestic Blue Island will delight even the most world weary travelers. With timber decking from each of the four bedrooms and both lounge rooms Blue is designed for absolute coastal relaxation. She has just undergone a major restoration and is mighty fine indeed with everything you could want in a home by the sea.

Just over 100 metres to the most beautiful beach you will have the opportunity to wander on. Blue Island has its own street beach entry, so no roads to cross or corners to turn just stroll east for a minute or so and you are on the Pacific Ocean.

Downstairs

The Hampton's Lounge
Shake off that city smoke and immerse yourself in some Hamptons inspired coastal comfort. Settle into a curacao lounge doused in coffee and whipped cream. Dock in your itunes, indulge in a movie or simply rest your legs whilst being served from the near-by kitchen. Dine with friends and family inside or out with tables graced for a king or queen.

Maldive Mimosa-With a bit of Raj washed up from near-by India, Maldive Mimosa sparkles with amaretto laced champagne. Mimosa is a coastal mirage of delicate shell hues gracing a queen room that opens to a south facing deck. Sleep soundly in a queen bed dressed with designer linen or stroll out to your deck and search for the elusive Southern Cross.
Gin Sling- Drench yourself in a bit of Asian infused colonial inspired comfort. Check in to this twin room and dream of boating off to some far flung Colonial Asian outpost. Privatise the room or open to a tropical inspired garden beyond your south facing deck.

The Serengeti Lounge

For a change of scenery or for 6pm cocktails wander upstairs to the Serengeti Lounge and be engulfed by colonial Africa. Reminisce about the old days or skite about some recent conquests whilst you relax over a game of cards, a book, DVD or an aperitif. For a bit of fresh air retire outside to the La Plage deck.

Tahitian Treat– Master Bedroom 1                                                                                                                                                             Sleep in zesty lime Island infused luxury with plenty of Polynesian charm and hints of some distant Island hopping. Come with me while the moon is on the sea, the night is young and so are we. Be serenaded by the rhythmic surf whilst you dream of Blue Hawaii. Enjoy sweet dreams amongst the cocoa leaves and hibiscus flowers in 100% count cotton sheets on premium king bedding. Embrace the morning by opening your doors to the private east facing deck beyond. Enjoy the fresh scented sea air as you sip a tropical juice blend.

Harry's Border Bar
Located at the back of the yard is Harry's Border Bar (games room) , a fusion of outback OZ, West and South USA and Havanna Cuba. The only thing served at Harry's is a big dose of sparkling fun. Enjoy a game of pool, a battle of fooseball, a dash at darts or a slam at air hockey. Open from 10am until 9pm daily.

We accept booking from responsible adults 25 year old and older. We ask that tenants respect our neighbours and do not make loud noise at night. We DO NOT accept Schoolies bookings or allow parties at the house. Activities that contravene this will result in eviciton. The games room is to be vacated by 9pm at night. We are a dog friendly house. Expectations of how the house is to be left are provided in the booking information.

Standard Terms and Conditions of Temporary Holiday Accommodation for Blue Island

Note: Variances can be agreed on but only by arrangement with the owner in writing.

Deposit of 25% non-refundable is required to secure the booking. Payment of the rental deposit constitutes the clients acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.

Balance of the rental amount must be received in full 10 days prior to occupancy. If not the owner has the right to cancel the booking and attempt to re let it.

If a cancellation is made by the client, money paid is not refundable unless the house is re-let for the entire period. If a refund is made due to the property being re-let then a $50 cancellation fee will apply.

The owners will make every effort to ensure the property is available as booked. However the owners reserve the right to make alterations to bookings due to unforeseen circumstances.

To maintain a good standard for our guests we require certain conditions to be complied with. We appreciate most will respect our property but the occasional abuse requires that we state the following conditions.

Number of Guests should not exceed the number stated on the Confirmation Notice or subsequently agreed in writing or email.  Excess fees or an immediate eviction notice may apply for excess guests not agreed with the owners in advance. 

Parties and Functions are strictly prohibited. The price charged is for domestic use only and not commercial. Accordingly this rate does not allow for the extra wear associated with functions in terms of cleaning, garbage removal, wear and tear, repairs etc. Use contrary to this may result in loss of your bond and/or additional payments or eviction.

Damage, Breakages, Theft and Loss are the tenants’ responsibility during their stay.

Departure - the property should be left in a similar state to its condition on arrival. The cleaning charge is for general house cleaning and linen and therefore we ask that dishes be put through the dishwasher prior to you leaving and the house left relatively tidy.

Check-out time is 12 midday by the latest, to allow time to prepare property for next guests.  Check in is available from 4pm

Disturbance to our neighbours, including excessive noise, is prohibited and may result in termination of rental and loss of bond.  Guests must ensure that noise is limited after 10pm.

Bond is payable at the same time as the balance amount. The bond will be refunded within 7 days in full subject to the above conditions being met. It is designed to cover any additional costs incurred including but not limited to, any breakage, damage or excess cleaning requirements, excess rubbish removal, extra guests beyond those declared ..etc. 

Pets are allowed but notification is required at time of booking.  We ask that droppings be cleared from the property by the dog owner

Loss - the owners take no responsibility for the tenant's personal property.  To avoid problems associated with theft we ask you close the windows and ensure bolts in sliding doors are fixed at all times the house is unattended.

Variations to these conditions may only be made by prior arrangements with the owner in writing.

 

Amazing place!!! Stayed here for two nights and had wonderful stay. Photos do not do this house justice. It is amazingly well presented, clean, new, stylish, comfortable and spacious. Anne (owner) was extremely easy to deal with, communicated well, left great information for us and really has thought of everything! We wpuldnlove to return to this house in the future and are considering making it an annual trip, that is how much we enjoyed it! I would recommend this house to anyone!!!5/5 by ,
