Mystique Country House is available for vacations, weekends away, friends and small family gatherings including and small retreats. It is located on rural land but is within minutes drive of the Seven Mile Beach and the Shoalhaven River. The house forms part of the Coolangatta community and is not isolated, having nearby neighbours, even if they cannot be seen from the house.
Mystique is located in the heart of the Shoalhaven wine country, is lakeside and has a stunning backdrop of Mount Coolangatta. This country property is private and surrounded by rural scenes. Mystique is located near to the Coolangatta Estate and you drive alongside the vineyards in the approach to it.
The area in which this property is found is of deep historical significance. In 1822 Alexander Berry first set foot on this settlement and established his homestead in this area, between the mountain and the sea,. This land forms part of the original 10, 000 acre land granted to Berry and Wollstonecraft for convict development and was operated as a model farm.
Mystique is an architecturally designed north-facing house set on the edge of a private lake. This house, built in 2007, is modern and is built on one level. It has been described as a unique, high end property. Every room in the house has windows and/or sliding doors overlooking country scenes of lake, mountain or rural land and trees. This amazing property has been thoughtfully designed to create comfortable living all year round. A spectacular entertaining environment is created by a seamless flow between indoor and outdoor areas.

5 large bedrooms, 4 bedrooms with queen sized beds, stylish ensuites and built in robes. The 5th bedroom contains two king single beds and is next door to a common bathroom.
We have a new leather double sofa bed. It is as a lounge in the Media Room and placed discretely in a corner. If required it will allow an extra one or two people to stay at $60 per person per night. The cleaner only will assemble and disassemble the sofa bed which must be requested and paid for prior to arrival. Otherwise it is locked in the sofa position. The number of people able to be accommodated rises to 12.
All linen is supplied. Sheets are all cotton.

A covered outdoor living area with outdoor dining for 10 only, quality BBQ, outdoor armchairs and seating. Scenic views over the lake, the trees and the country scene. Peaceful outdoor space. This is an area, howver, where all noise must cease at 10 pm and there at no time can be loud noise as we have a cul-de-sac full of neghbours on the other side of the lake directly opposite this outdoor area, behind the trees on the bank of the river. Excess noise carries across the water and is reported to us, the Landlords, in adherence with Shoalhaven Council rulings on holiday lets. If you are planning a party or an event this is not the property for you. The contract you sign is very strict on this matter. No parties or events are permitted and can be closed down.
The front yard has ground for playing sport and games with magnificent views of the mountain and eastern end of the lake and further away from neighbours.
A sparkling blue 10 x 4 metre solar heated swimming pool with all safety features.
Double garage supplied with internal access to the house. Plenty of off street parking and plenty of space for boat and trailer. All easy and level access. The third garage and part of the double garage houses the very popular pool table.

As much as this is a very rural location it is also very close to the coast and the Shoalhaven River, a major fishing river. It is within a 5 minute drive to Shoalhaven Heads and then on to all beaches along the Seven Mile Beach National Park up to Gerroa, which is 12 minutes away. Similarly the historic tourist town of Berry and the major shopping area of Nowra are within 10-15 minutes drive away. From Nowra you can head towards Greenwell Point, renowned for it’s seafood, after passing through the charming historic farming areas of Terara and Numbaa where many of the unchanged farming houses are over 100 years old and very quaint and picturesque. From Greenwell Point head to Culburra Beach, Currarong and Point Perpendicular with its very high, perpendicular cliffs which drop straight into the sea and it’s famous Light House, then head off to Jervis Bay.
