Sandstone Cottage 1 night

Set within near vicinity of pool, spa, sauna, playground and tennis courts, this modern self-contained cottage makes for the perfect family stay. This 2 bedroom cottage is equipped with queen bed in main bedroom and four bunk beds in the second room. Babies in a cot should not be counted when booking, as there is no charge. Cottage includes split system air, 32” HD TV, full kitchen for your convenience and balcony/patio with BBQ which looks over the Alpaca field.

Starline Alpacas offers farmstay accommodation in The Hunter Valley between Cessnock and Singleton, set amongst boutique wineries in the beautiful Broke Fordwich Wine sub-region in the Hunter Valley, NSW.

Our working alpaca farm offers a peaceful and relaxing farmstay accommodation experience. Here you are surrounded by the spectacular Brokenback ranges and the Yengo-Wollemi National Park . Enjoy the misty mornings, the clear night skies, the peaceful rural landscape of The Hunter Valley.

Our additional guest facilities include a saltwater swimming pool, spa, sauna and children's playground that are only a few steps away. Join friends at the poolside cabanas for a barbecue or hire part or all of our brand new Powerhouse function centre for your larger group events or meals.

Our accommodation consists of sixteen different facilities, being thirteen self-contained cottages and three suites, sleeping to eight people in one to three bedroom facilities. Relax on your own private veranda, enjoying the changing colours of the sunset reflected on Yellow Rock of the Brokenback Ranges, surrounded by the most peaceful and cute alpacas at only an arms' length from your cottage.

Starline Alpacas encourages groups of friends to make bookings with our cottages however the occupancy per cottage for sleeping and dining is restricted to the bedding provided. If you would like a larger space for a group meal The Powerhouse function rooms are available to hire and catering is available via  local catering companies.

Our decked area by the pool is perfect for parents to relax whilst watching their children swim in the pool or play in the playground. Join friends at the poolside cabanas for a BBQ lunch or dinner.

Meet the Alpacas

Watch the alpacas from your cottage, or visit them while you wander the fields. Take some food pellets with you and they will come over to eat from your hand. Watch the cria (baby alpacas) frolic in the late afternoon.

Pick fruit 

We have fruit trees that consist of quince, lemons, pears, apples and peaches. You are welcome to pick some fruit to enjoy on your stay.

Our focus is on presenting our own and others' farm grown knitting yarn, with various hand knit garments made from our yarn

Directions

Our farm is part of the Broke Fordwich vineyard and hospitality region, known as the Tranquil side of the Hunter Valley.

Within five minute drive in our local zone you will find 12 cellar door operations, some open every day, some open on weekends or by prior arrangement on other days. Bring your bicycles or hire in advance for $25 per day 

Drive Route

Starline is located on a working Alpaca farm with around 200 Alpacas in the beautiful upper Hunter region. Our Resort makes for the ideal stop over for local or international guests who are partaking in the traditional drive route through Sydney, The Blue Mountains, Hunter Valley and Port Stevens. 

Our self-contained accommodation caters for couples and families and is well equipped with everything that one would need during your stay. Watch the alpacas from your cottage, or visit them while you wander the fields. Terms & conditions

Basic rates are for two people, except in larger cottages and in some offers for Peak peiods. There is a separate charge for each extra person. When booking and providing your payment details you are undertaking to pay in full. Payment currently processed on the day of arrival, unless you advise otherwise. Children up to 2 years are free if in a cot. If a bed is required the child charge applies

Cancellation less than 21 days prior to check in attracts a 10% fee, rising to 20% if cancelling less than 14 days and to 50% if less than 7 days. Cancellation on the day of arrival forfeits any refund. The fee may be waived at the discretion of Starline Alpacas if the cancelled booking is re-booked.
