Q: Do I need to bring linen and towels?
A: No, we provide all linen including spare blankets. Towels are also provided.
Q: How far to the town centre?
A: It is an easy 20mins walk into town or 1.8klms.
Q: How far to cafes and restaurants?
A: Fishermen’s Wharf is about 10 – 15mins walk. Fishermen’s Wharf comprises Horse & Camel Winebar, Il Passaggio, Bluewater Café (take-away fish & chips), Sundeck and Asian Café. It also has two lovely gift shops – The Pineapple House and Bermagui Gifts. There are also a number of cafes in town – Crème Patissiere, Zest, Corkies and Mr Jones.
Q: How far to the Country Club?
A: The country club is 1.2klm from Captain’s Quarters which is an easy 15mins walk.
Q: How far to the beach?
A: Moorheads Beach is at the end of our street – about a 3 mins walk.
Q: Where are the ATMs located?
A: There are ATMs located in Wallaga Street(next to post office), the Country Club and Bermagui Hotel.
Q: What are the Supermarket hours?
A: Foodworks – located in Lamont Street, 8am to 6pm, open 7 days
777 – general store (great deli), dvd hire, subnewsagent – Wallaga Lake Road, 7am to 7pm, open 7 days
Q: Do you have a lock up area to store mountain/trail bikes?
A: Yes, we have a separate lock up storage area available. Please notify us prior to arrival if required please.
Getting to Captains Quarter’s Bermagui
From Canberra – 250kms from Canberra GPO and is approx 3 hours drive.
From Sydney – 380kms from Sydney GPO and approx 5 hours drive
From Melbourne – 665kms from Melbourne GPO which is approx 8 hours drive.
We have two airports located about 1 hour away – Moruya in the north and Merimbula to the south, both serviced by Rex Airlines and with hire cars available.
There are a number of options available:
Premier Motor Service offers daily services from Sydney and Melbourne.
V/Line offer a combination of train/coach service from Melbourne to Bermagui.
