The therapy spa with its own waterfall is sunken into a garden deck under a Japanese-style pagoda. You will never experience a spa like it! Truly, the Rolls Royce of spas. your choice of ten different coloured lights is pure magic at night under the stars or enjoy an optic light show while you get a complete spa workout. There is no better way to bliss out, relax, repair your body and feel uplifted.


Relax and soothe those sore muscles in the spa after a gorgeous bushwalk from Crackneck Lookout, a five minute walk away in the Wyrrabalong National Park. From there, you can walk north to Bateau Bay Beach for a swim and sunbake (a five minute walk) or south to Forresters Beach for a coastal walk with beautiful views over the ocean.

There are spectacular ocean and coastal panoramas and the walking tracks have boardwalks and timber steps with railings and seats at viewing spots. Crackneck and Shelley Beach are also top surfing spots.

Crackneck Lookout is one of the best whale watching locations on the Central Coast in the winter months so bring your binoculars to catch a glimpse of these wonderful humpback whales migrating north to breed and give birth in the warmer tropical waters.

A complimentary bottle of Champagne and a small box of chocolates, incense and an aromatherapy candle is provided for a romantic night in.

Fluffy white bathrobes and spa towels are provided for the spa. All linen and towels are included.


The Spa Retreat is a private home upstairs and a recently refurbished one bedroom self-contained garden studio apartment with a large outdoor courtyard and its own private entrance downstairs. Exclusive use of the garden, BBQ and spa area is provided. It was opened in August 2007 and recently refurbished under new management.

It is surrounded by gum trees and is a favourite visiting place for native birds and kookaburras. There is a large private outdoor deck for lounging around the spa in a delightful native tropical garden with pond and waterfall as well as a BBQ area for outdoor dining.

The modern studio has a luxurious queen-size bed, a mosaic tiled en-suite, lounge and dining area. The bed with a doona cover, is of hotel quality to ensure your comfort.

The kitchen has a microwave, fridge and large pantry with all your kitchen and picnic needs. There is a reverse cycle air-conditioner, TV, DVD player and a small reading library with DVD's. Use of a washing machine and drier is also available.

The studio has its own private outdoor dining and paved courtyard area. A separate outdoor dining area has a large gas BBQ supplied with all your BBQ needs.



Bateau Bay Beach, a ten minute walk away is a beautiful, quiet and secluded protected swimming beach within the Wyrrabalong National Park. The beach has low tide rockpools and is excellent for swimming, sunbaking, fishing and snorkelling. Shellley Beach is a 20 minute walk or 5 minute drive away.


The Tuggerah Lakes Golf Course at Bateau Bay is 5 minutes drive away and offers probably the best ocean views of any golf course in Australia. It is situated on Shelley Beach, famous for hosting surfing titles, a 4km stretch of golden sand between rockpools.


Bateau Bay also has a world-class bowling and croquet club which welcomes visitors as well as a numerous clubs within walking distance with free courtesy buses.

Mingara Recreation Club is 10 minutes drive away with an olympic pool and water park, gym and a range of restaurants.


The Entrance is a 10 minute drive north where you can hire a small boat to fish on the lake, see a movie, enjoy one of the many seafood restaurants or watch the feeding of the Pelicans at 3.30pm every day.


Terrigal is a 10 minute drive south where you can indulge yourself at one of the many fine dining restaurants and cafes, stroll the beach promenade or walk up and catch the stunning view at the Skillion.


Shopping is well catered for with the Erina Fair and Westfield Tuggerah Shopping Centres and the Homemakers and Discount Supa-Centre at Tuggerah, all within 15 minutes drive. Bay Village Shopping Centre is 5 minutes away and has 3 supermarkets, Kmart, cafes and an excellent variety of retail shops.

Erina Fair, one of the largest shopping centres in the southern hemisphere, acts as a community focal point and offers the largest range of retail stores in the region, an ice skating rink and an 8 cinema movie complex as well as a large range of restaurants and cafes.


The Retreat is also close to regular bus routes to The Entrance and Gosford.


An hour and a half away is the beautiful Hunter Valley wineries, historic villages such as Morpeth and the city of Newcastle.


Even closer are major attractions such as Brisbane Waters cruises on the Lady Kendall II which leave from Gosford Wharf, the Reptlie Park at Somersby and the Ettalong ferry which visits Palm Beach. Pearl Beach with its quaint village atmosphere and famous restaurant and the historic Avoca Beach Theatre in Avoca are just over half an hour away.

The Gosford Regional Art Gallery and Japanese garden is also worth a visit to feed the Koi fish as are the Ken Duncan and Neil Joseph Art Galleries, boutique shops in East Gosford and all the wonderful nurseries including the Wildflower Place in Erina Heights.

To protect our property owners, we ask that you read and abide by the following “TERMS AND CONDITIONS” of your holiday Letting. By paying the deposit on your booking you are accepting these terms and conditions.

Use of the Property

The guest is permitted use of the property under a Licence to Occupy the premises. This does not constitute a tenancy. The property can be used for Short-Term Accommodation only. The property is not to be used for any commercial activity, wedding, party, gathering or any other function.

Each property is equipped for a specific number of holiday makers. No mattresses, tents or caravans, or more cars than the property accommodates are allowed. If this is not followed you may be asked to leave and no monies will be refunded to the applicant.

They may be a maximum amount of vehicles permitted onsite. This will be stipulated for your particular property. No more than the maximum amount of vehicles are permitted and we ask that guests ensure they show consideration to neighbours and other vehicles in regards to parking restraints.


For all bookings 50% of the tariff plus $44.00 booking fee is required as a deposit to confirm the booking and is payable within 24 hours from the date you make the booking. Balance of all outstanding monies is due seven (7) days prior to your arrival. Payment may be made by bank cheque (made payable to Visit The Entrance), money order, EFTPOS, MasterCard, Visa. There is a 2% card fee on all credit card holiday transactions. Under no circumstances will personal cheques or cash be accepted on arrival.

A guest registration form is required to be completed for all bookings. The registration form requests details of your name, address & driver’s licence number. If credit card details cannot be supplied a bond is payable via EFT. The bond balance will be returned by electronic transfer ONLY within 14 working days of your departure. An increased bond may be incurred at our discretion.

All forward deposits are accepted on behalf of the present owners of the accommodation. Should ownership change, we cannot accept responsibility for arrangements or decisions made by the new owners. It shall also be a condition that every reservation remains subject to approval by the owner of the property. The booking is made in good faith but may be subject to change as maybe notified by the owner prior to the commencement of the booking. We regret that we cannot accept responsibility for the actions taken by the owner. Every reasonable endeavour will be made to offer alternative accommodation should this occur.

In the case of refurbishment or owners instructions, rental rates may be subject to increase without notice. Should this occur you will be notified immediately and given the opportunity to pay the difference in tariff or receive a full refund of your deposit. We will also offer you alternate accommodation if possible.

With the high demand of annual CHRISTMAS bookings, a holding deposit of $200.00 is payable immediately, the balance of the 50% deposit must be paid by July 31 and final payment made by 31 October. Cancellation of bookings may apply without notice, if final payment is not received by this date.

All bookings will incur a $44.00 booking fee per property. Any bookings cancelled will not receive a booking fee refund. The booking fee is included in the total tariff that has been quoted.

Noise Restrictions

No applicant under the age of 25 will be permitted to occupy holiday properties unless accompanied by an adult. No group bookings for under 25’s are permitted.  Visit The Entrance has the right to cancel the booking immediately and the full amount of the accommodation will be refunded.

The property is not a party house and that any such activities are strictly prohibited.

Any gathering, celebration or entertainment permitted at the property must not conflict with residential amenity, comply with all House rules and Terms and Conditions.

There is no unacceptable noise 24/ 7 including during arrival and departure and strictly no noise between the hours of 10pm and 8am.

Guests must abide by any noise abatement conditions, standards and orders issued by Police, regulatory authority, Property Manager or Security Guard to minimise impacts on the residential amenity of neighbours and the local community.

Neighbours must not be woken by any means. Offensive or anti-social behaviour that disturbs the peace and quiet or residential amenity of neighbours is not tolerated.

Guests and Visitors must clear decks and pools between 10pm and 8am.


Cancellations – In the event of you cancelling your holiday booking for any reason whatsoever, it will be a condition that no refund will be made unless, and until, the premises are re-let by one booking for the full rental period. A service fee of $75 will apply to all cancelled bookings. The booking fee is also non-refundable.  If the property is not relet the deposit is forfeited. If you shorten your stay, the unused portion of your rental is not refundable

Arrival and Departure

Your holiday property is available from 3.00pm on your day of arrival. Check out time is strictly 9.30am on the day of departure or the tenant will be charged an additional night.

Garbage and Cleaning

Our housekeeper has prepared your property to a high standard. We ask in turn that you show consideration by being neat and tidy and placing wrapped garbage in the bins provided. Bins need to be taken out for collection on the night before collection.

If the council bins are not left out an additional fee of a minimum $100.00 will be charged.

Excess rubbish must not be left or disposed of in public or common areas. Boxes of rubbish left by the garbage bin will not be picked up and we ask that you dispose of excess rubbish at the council tip.

If on arrival by a guest the premises are unclean, or it comes to the attention of the guest that the premises have been damaged, the guest must promptly notify Visit The Entrance and allow Visit The Entrance or its agents, contractors or employees access to the premises for the purposes of inspection or repair. If cleaning issues are not reported on arrival we assume you have accepted the property’s presentation as is and no refunds will be offered after your stay.


Bonds- You will be charged a minimum bond of $500 - $2000 on all bookings. Bonds will be refunded once the property has been cleaned and checked for damage.

If you are paying your bond via credit card imprint you will need to ensure there is enough credit on the card to authorise the full amount of the bond. Credit card authorisations hold money on your credit card for the duration of your booking. This must be paid prior to keys being picked up. If you are paying your bond by EFT, you must supply bank details for your refund and this will be processed within 14 working days of departure.

Other Conditions

Visit The Entrance participates in the Bad Book register. By accepting this booking you hereby agree that if you, or any occupant covered by this booking, including guests, breach our terms and conditions that your name, phone number and email address along with details of the breach/breaches may be disclosed to the property landlord and/or other agents participating in the Bad Book register. Visit The Entrance reserves the right to cancel bookings where a guest may be registered on Bad Books.

Holiday properties are equipped with blankets/doonas and pillows, however please remember to bring your own personal linen including sheets, pillow cases, towels and tea towels unless otherwise specified. Other items you should bring with you are soaps, dishwashing liquid, toilet paper etc. Linen Hire is available through Visit The Entrance.

You must not tamper with or change a door lock in the premises. If you lock yourself out, a call-out-fee of $100.00 will be charged for after hours, weekends and public holidays to unlock the premises. In the event of lost keys, fobs or swipe cards the guest will be required to pay for the change/replacement of keys/fob/swipe.

All damages, breakages or losses to the property, furniture and furnishings need to be reported to the agency immediately. Should you discover a fault or breakage when you arrive, please advise us or we will consider those the responsibility of the current guest and charge accordingly. Funds will be deducted from the bond if we need to claim, which may include, but is not limited to, the following: excess cleaning fees, damages or breakages, excess garbage removal, late check out. When the total amount exceeds $150.00, an agency fee of $50.00 applies.

Property descriptions on the internet and telephone enquiries are made in good faith. No responsibility can be accepted for omissions, errors or mis-descriptions.

A $35.00 BBQ cleaning fee will be charged for uncleaned BBQ’s.

Pets - Many properties are strictly no pets at all, whereas other properties are more lenient – please check with us on available pet friendly properties. We encourage you to keep your pet outside when holidaying with us.  If your pet needs to be indoors, please ask our staff about conditions.

Smoking is not permitted in any holiday property.

Visit The Entrance and the owner of the premises are not responsible for, and guests herby release them from any liability in respect of, any injury, debt, damage loss, cost,, delay, expenses or inconvenience caused directly or indirectly by events beyond Visit The Entrance or the owner’s control.

Any repairs, maintenance or service reported and requested by guests to be effected to the premises or any equipment provided at the premises, and/ or deemed necessary by Visit The Entrance, will be effected as soon as practicable, however no recompense will be negotiated due to the failure of any services, equipment or other contents provided at the premises. Guests are required to allow repair and or service personnel to enter the premises during reasonable hours by arrangement ( and at any time in an emergency ) for the purposes of conducting any repairs, maintenance or service. Guests requesting a service call which is subsequently found not to be required will be charged the applicable service call-out fee.

In the event of any renovation/ building work being carried out near the holiday premises, such work is beyond the control of Visit The Entrance and the owner and Visit The Entrance cannot accept responsibility for any disturbance, noise or inconvenience guests may suffer as a result. No discount will be negotiated in these circumstances.

The Owners & Visit The Entrance accept no liability for 3rd party incidents such as power failures, floods and/or any natural disasters.


Visit The Entrance has security guards available 24 hours a day. All noise complaints will result in a security guard visiting the property at a cost of $200 to the guest. Continual noise complaints will result in eviction from the property. Occupations of premises which, Visit The Entrance deems has caused nuisance or annoyance to neighbouring or adjoining occupiers will be terminated immediately and the full bond forfeited and any costs incurred following misuse of the premises will be payable by the guest or charged against the credit card tendered.

When leaving or absent from the property it is the guest’s responsibility to ensure that all the doors and windows are closed and air conditioners are turned off.


The consequences for not complying from the Terms and Conditions may include: enforcement action from Visit The Entrance, The Owner, Security Services, Local Council or Police. Enforcement action may result in termination of permission to occupy the property, eviction, loss of monies paid, charges against the security deposit and extra charges.

All complaints must be made to our office in writing .All complaints will be investigated and you will receive a response within 14 working days.

For all emergencies regarding your property please call our office. This will be diverted to an afterhours service. Please understand that only emergencies will be responded to after hours.

Agent Cancellation Policy

Special conditions apply for cancellations. If you cancel your accommodation and we secure a replacement booking for the same period your deposit will be refunded less a $75 administration fee. If however the property cannot be relet, your deposit is not refundable. If you shorten your stay the unused portion of your rental is not refundable
