Antechamber Bay Ecocabins

A true environmental, wilderness delight were you can relax, or be adventurous! Wander over the sand dune and spend the morning alone on the beautiful Antechamber Bay beach. In the afternoon, sit on the banks of the Chapman River and catch fresh bream like the early settlers of years gone by. Kayak along the river and enjoy the serenity and the diverse birdlife of this significant wetlands area and one of South Australia's most pristine rivers.

This location has been almost sacred to locals for over 100 years due to its beauty, peaceful seclusion and windless character. There are many interesting walks through significant wetlands, swamp gums/native tea trees, Lashmar Conservation Park as well as the stunning Antechamber Bay beach, where your footprints may be the only ones on the beach the entire day!

And if that's not enough...then there is the rest of the island to be explored!

Clever eco-design including separate, shared uniquely designed toilet and shower facilities. Eco-features include: solar-powered, solar-heated hot water, waterless, odourless toilets and interpretive signs to complete the experience.

Great for families, and couples or limited groups (we like to limit the number of people staying at any one time) looking to stay and enjoy the area or to make as a base for KI adventures. Something different from your mainstream holiday with minimal impact on the environment.
